Echocardiogram I

The transesophageal echocardiograms on this page were taken while the dog was anesthetized and just prior to performing balloon valvuloplasty. They again show the valvular nature of the stenosis. Even under anesthesia the pressure gradient is in the severe range although it is somewhat lower due to the anesthetic agents reducing stroke volume.
