Case 7 — Contrast Echocardiogram

Right parasternal echocardiogram taken immediately after agitated saline injection into a peripheral vein. Microbubbles appear as white dots and lines in the right atrium (RA). They are also visible within the defect in the atrial septum and in the left atrium (LA), indicating a right-to-left shunt at the atrial level.
