Case 11 — Abdominal Ultrasound

Abdominal ultrasound image of the liver showing a markedly distended proximal hepatic vein (HV) and caudal vena cava to the right. This appearance is typical of increased hydrostatic pressure in the hepatic veins and vena cava, consistent with congestive right heart failure. GB — gall bladder.
